The Big, Bad, Awful, Ugly, Racist, Intolerable, Disgusting, Horrid Cardinals Ownership - According to a Delusional Sports Writer

Sorry to be so repetitive and redundant in my title, but along with the rest of Cardinal Nation (at least the United Cardinal Bloggers, anyway), I'm peeved at the St. Louis media (see: Miklasz) and his ridiculous portrayal of Cardinals baseball.

How does this guy keep a job anyway? He's clearly never played sports in his life, has never sounded like he knew what he was talking about, and even posed as numerous different people in attempt to make a change within the Rams organization (what was it, 12 different screen names?). Sounds like journalistic integrity to me. The kind that especially fits in a town known for its baseball savvy fans (insert confused emoticon here).

The idea that somehow DeWitt or Mo has lied, not been forthcoming, or ruined this organization is about as true as if I said baseball doesn't exist, it's merely a figment of our imaginations. This same old BS has gotten old (and, in all reality, it's the same old unsubstantiated BS) and we need to move on from it. Pip over at Fungoes said it far more eloquently than I ever could, and I encourage all to read his entry. He provides examples and sums up the situation.

For my part, I sincerely hope that the majority of Cardinals fans out there are not represented by the reprehensible representation of our fan base that is present at and around stltoday.com and it's message boards. That we can't be grateful for DeWitt for saving our organization and providing us with the most successful and dominant National League team this decade is truly mind blowing. Get it together Cardinals fans. All is well here. All has been well here.
